The main coffee-growing regions are located at elevations of 600–1,200 meters. The warm, humid climate, tropical forests, and fertile soils provide ideal conditions for growing both Robusta and limited volumes of Arabica.

Processing is primarily natural and washed. Guinea's humid regions make it possible to produce quality washed coffees, but limited processing infrastructure means natural lots are more common.
Most farmers use shade-grown cultivation and hand picking, which help improve cup consistency and sweetness.
